Lessons

At Triton Stables students learn to become well-rounded equestrians! We offer professional instruction for hunters, jumpers, and equitation for children and adults. Lessons are taught in private and group settings for beginner to advanced riders.

The beginner program for children as young as 6 years old starts with private one-on-one lunge lessons until the rider can successfully and safely perform the basic principles of riding. Students ride one of our experienced and safe horses and ponies. Lessons begin with grooming and tacking, and students are taught how to take care of their ponies before and after the lesson.

Triton hosts a once-monthly C-rated show where students can demonstrate their skills and learn the fundamentals of competitive horseback riding, including good sportsmanship.

Our intermediate and advanced students have opportunities to half-lease or full-lease a horse or pony, travel to area competitions, and join the Triton Stables IEA team. Or simply enjoy the sport as a hobby! There is a place for everyone at Triton Stables!

Our goal is to work with your child (and adults!) at his/her own pace to develop basic horsemanship skills on the horse and on the ground in a fun and engaging atmosphere.
